Genealogy has been my passion for over 50 years. When my husband and I travel, we stop at antique stores along the way. I buy vintage PHOTOS, DOCUMENTS, LETTERS, and SCRAPBOOKS, in hopes of finding something for my own family research.
I contribute information and photos to various genealogy web sites, i.e. Genealogy Trails (genealogytrails.com), County Historical Societies, and my own family tree on Ancestry.com. I also transcribe diaries, letters, and obituaries from scrapbooks for these web sites. That way they are available for the public.
A lot of research is done on each Carte de Visite (CDV), Cabinet Card, Tintype, and Photograph. I try to include some census record, or obituary to help identify the person or family.
